You really should stop calling them a team. They're a duo, and calling the two of them a team leads people to believe you have a bunch of people working on it, when you really dont. It's very likely getting people's hopes up with regards to the April updates, when in fact it's not going to be huge substantial update.

Like this guy from the tonic thread...

A team is 2 or more people working together. Nothing wrong with using that term, especially when you are told there are only 2 people. As far as the April update, you really shouldn't speculate, but wait until you see it.

(I do appreciate how zchest gives you skins that may take time to get, it's really nice to be able to see all these skins for yourself, even if most of the time stats are meh)

Suggestion: reward only points if you actually observe games regularly, that would be strong (can still be abused at will) but may send the right message; combine this with reducing rewards to 1/4th (or 1/3rd ?) of the amount of TRP we get now.
I love how you have no clue what you are talking about by calling zkeys a money sink.

A money sink is when a player "buys" something or puts money back into the game. Zkeys do not cost money at all, the money spent is transferred to other players, not the game. The idea behind zkeys was an ingenious way to redistribute the wealth in guild wars to the players without the epeens, because now they can sell their earned(PvP) and unearned(predictions) zkeys to these people that love zspiking like other people care about it.

I myself have made a fortune off of earned and prediction zkeys over the last 5 months or so, but that in no way effects the economy of the game because it only transfers existing gold. So what that they have utterly failed the system these last two months its not like they accidentally put millions of "real" gold into the game and destroyed the economy. It only has effected the trading price and sell value for the zkeys themselves.

Please before you make more assumptions think about them a little bit.

I also chuckle everytime someone gets on here whining that they made predictions on all "15" of their accounts and didnt get what they expected.

It's common sense (and Regina explained it several times) that the time of some other devs is split between coding on GW2 and helping Joe on GW1 code. And IIRC they'll be getting more staff to commit time to the Live Team. The Live Team is entirely based around Joe and Linsey, but it probably has other "virtual" team members (we can't say how much because there's no way we can know), that are made of the time of many other devs working on bits and pieces of the modifications Joe and Linsey plan ahead.

I bet that XTH is not really a priority, because it's not a core component of Anet's programming activity (it may even have been outsourced?), thus the problems we've been seing in the past. It's free stuff, and they usually correct their mistakes, so stop bitching about details.

That's the shortsighted view of zkeys: once the zkey is transferred to another player, what do you think he does with it? He uses it on a zchest and once in a blue moon gets his money back, but people mainly do it because of the title I guess. So in the end, the zkey buyer does put his money back into the game (ha ha \zranked!), and this is what's called a money sink. So please, next time, think a bit more than at the surface of things.

Are you really that narrow. In no way does any money get absorbed by Guild Wars economic engine or whatever you want to call it. Say for instance someone does get uber leet skin from chest and sell it to another player, they only transfer existing money, if player actually merchs the skins form the zchest it turns into the opposite of a money sink and is worse for the economy.

No I'm not narrow, but I was very imprecise, and incorrect on calling zkeys "money sink": they're "money makers" indeed, but also "money sink accelerators", as the vast amount of money that they have been generating (which may now start to change as people max ztitle and there's even more zkeys) is likely to be invested in the money sinks.

P.S.: change your style, it's disrespectful.

QFT - it lets me slide the names over but not save the predictions. No zkeys last month, looks like none this month either. *shrug* Whatever.

I haven't had any problems saving predictions, using Firefox and waiting until a few days before the actual tournaments. Sometimes if you try too early in the month, it won't let you save. Weird.

No keys for me ever, I save my predictions, log into game, watch all the chat, hear about all the keys everyone received and nothing for me. Kun Shao (I think he hates me lol) takes me back to the website where I can look at my predictions. I have logged onto all 12 of my pve characters and 1 pvp character, switched towns, waited in gtob, swapped districts, waited for a game patch, and contacted customer support still nothing.................................

Sheesh, 155 more prediction points for other people's problems. Can't complain about that.
